Paragraph #1:
Christmas Morning Chaos
Chaz woke up from a nightmare that he was climbing down a chimney with a huge red bag of presents and got stuck. He was stuck in the chimney for the whole night and the next day, when finally a little boy came to save him. Unfortunately, the little boy turned him in, and the whole world was mad at him because no one had any presents on Christmas morning. Being frightened was what woke him up. Chaz and Lilly, his little sister, ran downstairs to have their traditional Christmas morning breakfast, which was always delicious. They loved the breakfast. After they finished eating, they heard a loud “BOOM!” in the living room. They walked in to find the tree had fallen over and the ornaments shattered all over the floor. The mess looked like a catastrophe! The next thing they knew their parents were yelling at them downstairs. “Whoever did this is in big trouble,” their dad said. Chaz and Lilly were so upset because they both knew they had not caused this disaster. “Christmas is ruined,” cried Lilly. As she ran upstairs, Chaz yelled “Stop!” They set out on an adventure to find out what had caused the tree to fall. The family had made cookies that night for Santa, but the cookies were still there. When Chaz realized that they were still there it gave him an idea. He remembered his dream; therefore, he decided to tell Lilly about it. Lilly listened patiently until it was finished. It seemed that the story somehow related to their predicament. Lilly ran to the chimney and looked up. What she saw was unbelievable. She called for Chaz to take a look, and he saw it too. Chaz yelled for his parents, but when they looked they saw nothing. When Chaz and Lilly turned back around disappointed, they noticed that the broken ornaments were cleaned up, and the tree was back in its normal position. They could only believe it had to be either a mistake or a Christmas miracle.
